Paris, J'adore!

Jet-setting off to the city of love tonight and to inspire my travels I have decided to post Parisian style that I and my sisters hope to emulate!! Please enjoy and I will hopefully update my photo's as much as possible of all the classic and trendsetting European chic style I hope to capture!

Models walking during the Chanel Resort show a few weeks back.

Nothing says Paris better than a sidewalk café, a woman dressed in black from head to toe immersing herself in what is ideally a philosophical inquiry of Saussure or Beauvoir.

Stripes, stripes, stripes...

The late Grace Kelly's granddaughter, Charlotte Casiraghi, a modern day beauty in Missoni...and Grace Kelly herself on her 1964 film "To Catch a Thief" filmed on the French Rivera. Directed by the legendary Alfred Hitchcock and also starring Cary Grant-- one of my all time favorite films.

What would be more lovely than Carrie Bradshaw in Paris- one of my favorite episodes of the series.

Clemence Posey-- a beautiful, fresh face, totally French actress...

Audrey Hepburn's glorious performance in "Funny Face" 1957 takes the audience racing through couture show rooms and the cobble stone streets of Paris-- Fred Astaire accompanies Audrey in this picturesque fairy tale motion picture.

That's all for now...got to catch that plane...

Smitten for Toni Garrn

Came across this naturally beautiful German model, Toni Garrn, 18, whose made her way into the fast and furious fashion industry only a short while ago. I was totally struck by her fair, poised features -- she is absolutely striking making her dues most notoriously in the Hugo Boss campaigns. It's not always that you see a model that has such a gorgeous face-- contrary to popular belief, not all have such versatile and symmetrically perfect faces. Beauty is subjective, lets remember that, but seriously, such a refined, fresh face is hard to find. At only 18, this glamourous model seems to have a promising future ahead of her!

Resort Fashion 2010

Ahh resort season. Viewing these shows makes me close my eyes and picture blue water and sandy beaches and people sun bathing on their gorgeous yachts off the Amalfi coast. And let me tell you it's very easy to picture when you have the right type of outfit put together in front of you.

Most of Stella Mcartney's collection took my breath away- with her clean cut lines and polished elegance. Although the model looks absolutely motionless, the clothes are gorgeous and I love the modern brilliance put into this collection. Very geometric and professional yet feminine and ladylike with all the lace involved.

Next we have Lanvin and Celine respectively--beautiful French lines--

This jumper especially is stunning with the wide leg pant and gold around a belt and the neck. Totally jaw dropping if you ask me! Celine is made especially for the modern Parisian woman to not only look amazing but feel great too-- because that's half the battle isn't it? To look as good as you feel.

Work out much?

Get moving! Exercise is a great way to relieve stress and open your mind, not to mention the endorphins and tighter butt you'll get in the process! I love being active and after a long winter, it's nice to go out and soak up some vitamin D. Recently in Florida, I made it my goal to get outside everyday (and I mean who wouldn't?) and do something that challenged by mind and my body. Biking was my favorite activity and boy does it work your body without you even realizing it! Biking through the beach town of Daytona was just lovely! What's more, I felt absolutely rejuvenated! I was happier absolutely optimistic to get out again tomorrow. Being in such a harsh winter (Montreal is definitely know for that) you forget what it's like to feel the sun on your skin!

Now that spring is rolling in, take advantage of the cool sunny days-- which can be perfect for running and walking! Even if you just get out for 20 minutes it will improve your general mood, helping you conquer your day efficiently and optimistically!

SPRING IS IN THE AIR

Despite the rainy weather outdoors, I can smell spring. It's coming! In light of that I suggest you take a look at one of my favorite links for clothes to get inspired for spring. Antropologie has become an obsession of mine carrying all the fashion forward trends, but in a sort of uniquely, personable way-- you can find something for every type of taste! In the winter I picked up a bold shouldered blazer that has become a stable in my wardrobe. This season I have my eye on a lightweight linen scarf, a plethora of sun dresses (because I just don't think you can have too many of them) and strappy scandals. I can't wait for it to be that time of year for scandals-- time to start booking that pedicure!

Antrhopologie Must Haves:

These scandals look so unique, yet fun and trendy. I especially love the pop of blue around the ankle and buckle. The metallic and brassy part of the scandal ads something totally futuristic and kind of rock and roll!

The dress has that perfect sheer, feminine touch thanks to the thin silk fabric, you'll feel like you are as light as a feather! The neckline also is great because it is perfect for evening and daytime events. Pair it with a waist-hugging belt or a statement necklace.
The scare is so versatile and can be worn spring/summer with a casual look like jeans and a funky shirt. It gives that breezy, easy look that you just threw something together in a few minutes and still look amazing!
